Inventive 

Being inventive simply means having the ability to create or design new things or to think originally i.e. to be inventive is to be creative and original. People who copy others aren't inventive, because they're not being original. When people are being inventive, new ideas flow. No matter how silly your idea may seem to you, don't discard it until you have actually worked according to it. If you succeed, very good and if you fail then atleast you will get to know what modifications your idea needs. 

Being inventive doesn't refer to thinking out of the box, it only means to show creativity with original thoughts.
