Jaunty 

This is the word for being able to express yourself in a lively, cheerful and self confident manner. The major factor where we lack today is expressing ourself to others. And we must understand that until and unless we won't express ourselves confidently, people are going to underestimate us and might even not take us seriously. So just forget about the aftermath and express yourself as lively and confidently as you can. Also, be the smile and the confidence that others might need to open up. 
Though jaunty does imply considering what kind of reaction should be given to a certain situation and then expressing your thoughts and opinions.
