There is no reiteration of the fact that until and unless you are open to both appreciation as well as depriciation, you can't make a positive growth in your life. Everyone loves praises but he who truly takes the criticism also in the same manner, is the one who is ultimately going to win. Hence, one should be open to both positive as well as negative comments, reviews and suggestions. 
Being open shouldn't be confused with letting any random person demotivate you, make you feel less confident or make you question yourself.
